Veteran Actor Victor Eze Succumbs To Battle With Stroke

The Nigerian movie in­dustry was yet again thrown into another mourning with the recent de­mise of one their own, in the person of veteran actor, Victor Eze.
A thorough bred actor, script writer and producer, Victor Okechukwu Eze, who was prominent for his role as Alika in Checkmate and subsequent­ly Fuji House of Commotion, was said to have died in the later part of Monday 26th June after a long battle with stroke.
The actor was based in Ikorodu Lagos, but was said to have relocated to his village in the South East in 2011 when he could no longer afford to live in Lagos due to his battle with stroke. An OAU graduate of Theater Arts and the founder of Vickez Productions.
During his days, he was famed for his stage craft and ability to switch roles, which saw him playing numerous roles in a particular production without letting out.
Members of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), led by Ralph Nwadike, took time out to extol the virtues of the late veteran actor, while pray­ing God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lose. May his soul rest in peace.
Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Thin Tall Tony also wrote, “Was looking like a great day until I heard about your passing sir.

“He (Mr Eze), ladies and gentlemen, has been my biggest influence in characters on stage (he was too good on stage and a Lord in switching roles) he could play 6 roles in one production and you couldn’t tell the difference.

“We dancers, stage actors from the national theatre will always miss you.”
