Chelsea’s Diego Costa: My Future Is Already Defined

Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, has stated that his future is already defined, adding that he will be travelling to Spain as he looks to return to his former club, Atletico Madrid.

The Brazilian-born Spain international was Chelsea’s top scorer last season, but has been in Brazil since claiming in June that manager Antonio Conte had told him he was no longer part of his plans.

Earlier this week, Costa said he was being treated as a criminal at Chelsea, who have reportedly fined him over his refusal to return to training.

Costa told Globeesporte on Thursday, “My future is already defined. I have to return to Atletico Madrid next season. There’s a problem because Chelsea don’t want to set me free.

“But I think the situation will soon be resolved now that I will return to Spain.”

His brother, Jair Costa had earlier said that the 28-year-old had “plenty of offers on the table.”

Due to FIFA transfer ban on Atletico, the club cannot register new players until January and reports in Spain have claimed Costa could play for another La Liga club on loan before joining them.
